Queensland's $30,000 First Home Grant / Guarantee Scheme Expires 30 June 2026

Here's What Brisbane Buyers Need to Know

f you're thinking about buying or building your first home in Queensland, there's one date you need to have circled on your calendar: 30 June 2026.

That's the deadline to access Queensland's boosted First Home Owner Grant of $30,000: a one-off, tax-free payment from the Queensland Government to help first home buyers into the market sooner. Miss it, and the grant is expected to drop back to $15,000. 

The grant applies to contracts signed on or before 30 June 2026

*your settlement date can be later, but your contract needs to be in place before the cut-off.
